Dog Consignment Contract

Consign your dogs to an upcoming auction: read the 18-point auction conditions, list your dogs, and sign electronically.

  • Covers entry fees, commission, and required paperwork
  • The office confirms your consignment by phone or email

Equipment Consignment Contract

Consign farm machinery, vehicles, trucks, trailers, and tools to a consignment auction.

  • 10% commission; items sell as-is to the highest bidder
  • Consign 30 days ahead for online bidding and advertising

Absentee Bid Permission

Can't make it to a dog auction? Give us your bid and our staff will bid for you.

  • Turn it in at least one day before the auction
  • Review the catalog for information about the dogs you are interested in
  • Must provide payment
  • We will call you after the sale and let you know one way or the other

USDA Exemption Certification

For sellers without a USDA license who keep four or fewer breeding females. Required before we can sell regulated dogs on your behalf.

Frequently Asked Questions

Call us at (417) 652-7540 to reserve your spot, complete the appropriate contract (dog or equipment), and submit your USDA paperwork. Consignment paperwork is due before the sale date.

About 1½ weeks before each sale — the Wednesday a week and a half before the sale date.

If you own more than 4 females over the age of 6 months, you must be USDA licensed to sell at auction. If you own 4 females or less you may sell as a USDA exempt hobby breeder.

If you are in person, you will need a government issued photo ID. If you would like to place an absentee bid you will need to fill out the absentee bid form and provide a credit card. If you are paying with a check, you will need a bank letter of credit.

Use the Submit a Classified Ad form online: add your details and photos, pay the one-time listing fee securely through paypal and our team reviews the ad before it goes live. (Auction purchases are settled on-site per your contract.)

No — we no longer mail flyers. Join our email list and text alerts (scan the QR code in the footer, or email shayla@swaauction.com) to get auction dates and catalog drops.

We're based in Wheaton, Missouri, and our reach extends nationwide for both buyers and sellers.

Try reaching out to the seller first to resolve the problem. Southwest Auction has only seen the dog or item the day of the auction, we have no prior knowledge of any issues with dog or equipment unless disclosed to us by the seller which we will then announce or put in the catalog. Southwest Auction will announce all visible flaws we can see, we can not see inside a dog. We ask all sellers to be honest and fair and treat others as they would want to be treated. Southwest Auction holds sellers money for 7 days after the auction in case such issues may arise. If buyer and seller can not come to an agreement, Southwest Auction will arbitrate on the side of right but Southwest Action does not forfeit commissions due to such controversy's.
